Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is designed to help reduce the impact of distressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We begin with an initial assessment to understand your goals, strengths, and any barriers you may be facing. From there, we take a biopsychosocial approach and draw from various approaches - such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and others - to create a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Couples Therapy

The process of couples therapy begins with an assessment conducted both together as a couple and individually, allowing us to develop clear, specific treatment goals. The overall aim of therapy is to identify the relational patterns that maintain your concerns and to help you restructure those patterns in ways that support a healthier, more sustainable relationship. This approach is informed by the work of Sue Johnson and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as the Gottman Method developed by John Gottman and Julie Gottman.

How does all this work?

  • Confidential and Ethical Practice: Your privacy is our top priority. All sessions are conducted in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
  • Focused, Manageable Caseloads: We keep caseloads intentionally small so each client receives the therapist’s full attention and individualized care.
  • Session Frequency: Most clients meet weekly or every other week, depending on their needs and goals.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Standard sessions are 50 minutes, with scheduling adjusted to fit your availability whenever possible.
  • Therapy Duration: Many clients complete therapy in 8–10 sessions, though this can vary based on your unique circumstances and goals.
  • Tailored Approach: Your plan is customized to meet your individual needs, with regular check-ins to ensure your therapy stays effective and relevant.
