Isabelle Ginn

Isabelle Ginn is a Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate student at Northwestern University completing her practicum at Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy. She is directly supervised by Chris Rodriguez, M.A., LMFT, and she is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA).

Isabelle graduated from Duke University in May 2024 with a major in psychology and a minor in education. During her time at Duke, she worked as a research assistant at the Duke CHILD Studies Tomasello Lab where she studied social and cognitive skills of children. Through this experience, she gained a deeper understanding of how early relationships and developmental milestones shape our emotional well-being and mental health. It also strengthened her commitment to understanding people as unique individuals, with personal narratives that inform who they are today.

Isabelle also was a part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers that studied sexual well-being in postpartum women. This research emphasized the importance of understanding the complex nature of postpartum recovery and well-being, including the emotional, physical, and relational aspects. Isabelle worked face-to-face with postpartum women to get a better understanding of challenges many women face in the postpartum period. These research experiences further fueled her commitment to providing empathetic, transformative care to individuals navigating life transitions or every day struggles.

In her Master of Science program, Isabelle is being trained in Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), a systemic approach to therapy that integrates multiple therapeutic models to address a wide range of client needs. This approach allows Isabelle to consider each client within the context of their relationships and broader life systems, while also drawing from different therapeutic frameworks to provide personalized care. Isabelle offers a warm, empathetic, and supportive environment to help clients heal and grow.

In her free time, Isabelle enjoys practicing yoga and pilates, going for walks, spending quality time with friends and family, and baking.
